We’ve been supplying residential, trade and commercial customers throughout Surrey, London and the south of England for three decades. Traditional wood floors in a period property may seem an obvious choice, but wood floors are popular for a wealth of reasons: they enable you to make the most of your home’s original features and showcase its period charm, while also giving you durable, hardwearing floors that stand the test of time.

If you live in a period property, the first decision you’ll have to make when it comes to interior décor is how many of the original features you’re going to retain and how much you’re going to modernise. The most practical answer to this is likely to be a mixture of both. Mixing old and new carefully, balancing the traditional with the contemporary, will give you a beautiful home that’s utterly unique.
So, how should you choose wood flooring for your period home?
First, consider the size of your home overall, as well as the space in which you’re planning to lay wood flooring. In a large period property with spacious rooms, pale-coloured wood flooring will further boost the sense of light and space, and make your home feel open and airy. Alternatively, in a large home, you can be bolder with colour choices – so if you want to create cosy spaces with strong hues and dark wood flooring, you can.

As an independent company, we select brands and products with care to offer you something a little different – you won’t find the same variety and depth of choice anywhere else in England. Our showroom in Camberley, Surrey, displays our product range to its best advantage, and we’d love to welcome you there.
Spread over two floors, the showroom is split into departments, with 16 full-size room sets upstairs focused on wood flooring, half of which showcase our beautiful herringbone in all sizes, colours and finishes. Alongside the showroom we have a large manned warehouse where we hold greater quantities in stock than other suppliers, shortening lead times, ensuring prompt delivery and keeping your projects running to time.
