Contracts manager David Simpson joins our commercial flooring team

Our contract work covers a wide range of new-build and refurbishment projects in commercial and retail premises, healthcare and educational establishments and residential buildings. We supply and install carpet, wood, luxury vinyl and other flooring for public and front-of-house areas; we also provide practical, heavy-duty flooring for kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, staff rooms and other functional spaces. It’s an important and rapidly growing part of our business, so we’re delighted to announce that David Simpson has joined our experienced team in the role of Contracts Manager. He’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of our commercial contract projects across the South of England, providing clients with a single, consistent point of contact from initial enquiry, project management on site, through to handover, and aftercare.

David brings over 25 years’ experience in the contract flooring sector to his new role at Higherground. Earlier in his career, he worked on the supplier side for an international carpet tile manufacturer; more recently, he’s worked client-side, running contract installations for major office refurbishments, schools and hospitals. He holds both the Site Supervisor and Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SSTMS and SMSTS) safety certificates, enabling him to work directly on clients’ construction sites.
