Prior to modern milling techniques trees were felled and cut into random sizes to be used for flooring. The flooring had multi-widths creating a distinct appearance. With the industrial revolution planks were machined in regular widths replacing the style of multi-width floors. Our range of multi-width wood floors replicate the historical floors which would be found in period buildings. Some also have an aged appearance as with our York Old English which recreates an authentic period wood floor. It is perfect for historical buildings and period homes.
